Firstly, if your oven is the same width as other equipment in your kitchen, say, the dishwasher, then you have a standard size oven, which will be either a single oven - one door - or a double oven - two doors. These can be freestanding or built-in, but the price with us is the same. Don't forget to get the hob cleaned, as these are priced as separate items - some people like to clean their own, for some reason! Unfortunately, some companies have muddied the water by using "double oven" to describe a range, so, for clarity, we have included a description of "single oven plus grill above" because most double ovens are actually one oven and a grill.
What is known as a "range" is simply a wider oven, built to accommodate either larger heating compartments, or more of them. Consequently, they will have a larger hob surface too with up to eight rings. Anything over the standard oven width (60cm) is known generally as a range, although most will have heating compartments placed side-by-side. A storage drawer is often included and is cleaned free of charge by us. There are others, most notably Rayburn and AGA stoves. If you have one of these you will know about it and probably still have the burn marks from checking if the top is hot!
This may seem simple, but it's amazing how many companies will change their terminology to confuse the unwary.
So, to summarize, ovens are all the width of your washing machine or dryer. Ranges have side-by-side ovens. Then count the doors!
